
Refined interpreter of
Verdi’s operas, his repertoire includes also Puccini and Cilea’s ones, which he
sang in the most prestigious theaters in the world: Teatro alla Scala in Milan,
Teatro dell’Opera in Rome, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Arena in Verona, San
Carlo in Naples, Covent Garden in London, Wiener Staatsoper, Théâtre du Chatelet
and Opera Bastille in Paris, Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, Liceu in
Barcelona, San Francisco Opera.
He regularly
collaborated with conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Daniele Gatti,
Nicola Luisotti, Nello Santi, Daniele Callegari and with directors as Franco
Zeffirelli, Mario Martone and Pierluigi Pizzi.
He recently performed in
Trovatore
in Barcellona and Massy;
Attila
at the Teatro alla Scala;
Rigoletto in Vienna and in Beijing; Tosca
at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo;
La Traviata
at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna.
He has already sang
Don Carlo
at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich
and at the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome.
He won Tito Gobbi
(2002) and Operalia (2003) Competitions.
